The NEXUS project is being carried out by a consortium (co-led by ARTTIC and Rolls-Royce Marine) made up of 6 recognised and experienced key players from 4 different EU member states. The consortium consists of ARTTIC, Rolls-Royce Marine AS, University of Strathclyde, GONDAN Shipbuilders, DNV GL AS, Global Marine Group and SINTEF Ocean.

Role in the project

DNV GL is the leader in WP 6 “Safety Regulations for Windfarm Service Vessels” due to its expertise in safety, quality, energy efficiency and environmental performance of the global shipping industry – across all vessel types and offshore structures. DNV GL is responsible for coordinating and active involvement in the Hazid, the critical review of regulations, developing risk models, costs benefit assessments and the final recommendations on rule basis and specification of the functional requirements. DNV GL will also contribute with simulation and testing competence on complex, integrated systems in WP 8, specifically developing a testing and verification framework and methodology for systems, sub-systems, functions and integrated systems.
